Social Media Management & Copy

During my time as a Digital Editorial & Social Media Intern, I worked closely with Edible Indy’s owner and managing editor to create a social media plan that would increase audience engagement and traffic.

I worked to reinvigorate the social strategy for the magazine’s Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Additionally, I selected images and created engaging captions for posts and stories.

I implemented tactics such as hashtag strategy, interactive content, link usage, and CTA’s to better engage with our audience and drive traffic to our website.

Objective:

To increase audience, subscriptions, and revenues by driving website traffic with timely, engaging content and digital advertising.

Results:

  • Increased social content interaction by 308% in the first week

  • Increased website traffic by 14.7% in the first month

  • Increased Instagram accounts reached by 61.5% overall

  • Increased total Instagram followers by <1K

Article Writing

In addition to social media, I helped to brainstorm ideas for multiple online and print stories. I also wrote several food and lifestyle articles for EdibleIndy.com. You can check out my Edible Indy pieces here.
